How to Use

Just as you might be wearing sunscreen every day, the Advanced Repair Daily Defense SPF 45 Moisturizer should be applied liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure and again every two hours.

Scoop the lotion from the jar and apply it all over your face, ears, neck, and chest. This will provide SPF protection throughout the day and has the added benefit of offering a smooth, fragrance-free primer for your skin before applying makeup if you so choose.

1. Along with all the commonly mentioned effects of sun damage, such as skin cancer, burns, and premature aging, there is another effect of the sun that people with acne should especially consider.

Sun exposure can darken acne scars, making them more noticeable. This makes the SPF protection all the more invaluable as part of your acne fighting routine.

We created this product as part of our hormonal-acne-fighting regimine, but still, SPF protection can sometimes get pushed to the wayside. Remember that moisturizer or lotion with SPF are just as critical in your skincare routine as any hyaluronic acid or vitamin C.

1. Inflammation is one of the causes of acne, so while sometimes consumers think that by removing excess oil on their skin they can prevent or get rid of acne, they could sometimes be making their acne worse by overdoing it and causing inflammation.
2. On top of that, the aging effects of sunlight are well-documented, so for true anti-aging, a broad spectrum sunscreen or SPF moisturizer is absolutely essential.
3. If you wear makeup, apply this daily SPF moisturizer in the morning, then let it sit so it dries for a moment before applying your first layer of primer or foundation. This will give you a healthy, protective base between your skin and the makeup that will last all day.
4. If you swim, sweat excessively, or otherwise think that your SPF daily moisturizer may have lost some effect, then consider reapplying before you expose yourself to the sun again.
